#FromWhereIStand: Spring Edition

If you're OBSESSED with Instagram just like me you'll probably have heard of the hashtag that goes along with many square photos of people's view from the top. #FromWhereIStand is often attached to a picture of, well, people taking pictures of where they are standing. For me I feel like taking this kind of picture is the perfect way to show my outfit from my point of view. Also, it's the perfect way to to display some of my seasonal essentials, especially some spring shoes that are making a daily appearance. Over the past few weeks I've been capturing my outfits in this way & other than throwing in a few mirror pictures of my view of my outfits, you'll be able to see a daily spring outfit #FromWhereIStand!

My white chucks are my #1 spring essential & the comfiest, most reliable pair of shoes I own. Here I'm wearing a Forever 21 peacoat, Aritzia striped crop tank, Zara boyfriend jeans, and an American Eagle simple brown leather belt.
As it's still the beginning of spring some layers are still going to be needed occasionally. Here I'm wearing my Urban Outfitters reversible poncho, Garage high waisted black jeans, & Old Navy Chelsea Boots.
As you may already be noticing this spring I am pretty much only wearing black jeans & ripped jeans. I can't help but feel like ripped jeans instantly make any everyday outfit that much more exciting. Here I'm wearing H&M jeans (from forever ago), Forever 21 pleated tank, & my American Apparel circle scarf!
Seriously during school my outfits can get quite boring & this is pretty much a uniform outfit for me during the week. H&M ripped jeans, Old Navy Chelsea Boots, American Eagle white tank & I've thrown on a leather jacket.
This spring I've started sporting a small cuff on my jeans to not only show a little ankle to the world (scandalous I know) but also it alters a boring pair of skinny's ever so slightly. Here I'm wearing my white converse, American Eagle jeans, & an American Eagle peplum floral blouse.

Like I said....I have a bit of a go to uniform look at the moment....Old Navy Chelsea Boots, American Eagle jeans (cuffed once agin), American Eagle belt, and Forever 21 black peacoat.
This is a super lazy day outfit for me but I've thrown in my favourite pop of colour shoes to make it a bit more spring focused! Shoes are from Forever 21, Garage leggings, Zara black & white striped tee, and Forever 21 peacoat (here you can see the brown leather toggles not pictured in the other photos)
Final outfit is from the other day when I attended a graduation BBQ for a friend! This outfit is a bit more dressy but is still casual enough for spring. I'm just wearing a form fitting black tank, the skirt is from Forever 21 & then I paired it with my black Old Navy Chelsea Boots & Smart Set black leather jacket.

Green & Grecian + New Camera!!

Hey guys!!! Some exciting stuff has been happening this week including finishing up my third year of uni ahhh! Which not only means the beginning of summer for me, but also way more posts for you. This will hopefully include a lot more outfit photos & exciting outdoor shoots especially since the world around me is finally de-thawing & I can now leave the house without 45 layers ;) Another exciting event that happened this week is the introduction of my new baby into my life....& no I do not mean a real baby I mean my new camera! From now on all (or most) of my photos will be taken on my Canon EOS Rebel T5, which thanks to my lovely boyfriend is now my most prized possession. Below is a little snap of my new camera & my grecian inspired simple OOTD with a bit of a braided headband hairstyle. PS...obsessed with this Urban Outfitters statement piece <333

Hope you guys are having a great week!

Coachella Crazy.

Unless if you're living under some sort of rock, which honestly many students very well may be as it's exam season, you'll know that this upcoming weekend is Coachella! If you know anything about Coachella you'll know it is by far the coolest, star studded, fashion based festival of the year. It takes place deep in Inland Empire's Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert & always has the most spectacular lineup. As a poor little uni student a plane ticket to Cali & the $375 festival pass is just a tad out of my budget so until it becomes a bit more of a reality I'll just sit on my Macbook and drool over the fashion. You know how everyone has an era that they dream of living in just for the fashion? No, just me? I dream constantly of the 70's. Everything from flower crowns to flared jeans to bell sleeves... obsessed. So when festival season rolls around and everyone embraces their inner bohemian goddess I have to say I go a little crazy! Below I've posted a few of my favourite celebrity Coachella outfits from festivals past & also a few essentials for the 2015 version that we'll all be watching for!

Let me know if you'll be attending any festivals this summer & who inspires your festival fashion!
