Shopping Samples

Samples are seriously the world's greatest gift. They are free mini bottles of the products you've never used before (or you already love but don't have the budget for shhh) & they're unlimited. Recently my lovely mom got me a handful of amazing samples & I've got a cheeky little review of how I'm feeling about them! From Clarins to Estée Lauder I'm quickly learning I have a long way to go in the beauty game before I'm ready for a commitment beyond sample size.

Estée Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Foam Cleanser/Purifying Mask

Having extremely sensitive skin means trying a new cleanser is often a very scary task but I decided to go for it with this one & boy did it ever pay off. This cleanser is extremely gentle & is super refreshing & is pretty much everything you could ask for in a simple cleanser. There is next to no scent & what scent you slightly smell is just fresh and simple. Would definitely recommend this product to someone who is just starting out a skincare routine & currently is needing a no fuss kinda clean.

Estée Lauder Take It Away Makeup Remover Lotion

Another Estee Lauder product with the same streamlined packaging but this item is in fact a makeup removing lotion. This product is very sensitive, particularly when removing eye makeup, but to be honest I'd much prefer a liquid makeup remover. Personal preference of course, but if you are a fan of a lotion remover I would definitely recommend it more as a cleaning up the remaining makeup or touching up smudged lines as opposed to using as the sole remover.

 Peter Thomas Roth Peeling Gel

THIS PRODUCT IS AMAZING. For a redhead, peeling skin after a sunburn is the summer is seriously the bane of my existence. I simply rub this onto the area that is peeling, just as if it was a cream, and all of the dead skin suddenly disappears. It's seriously magic & I am fully obsessed with this, definite essential for summer 2015.

 Clarins Super Restorative Day

.....This is supposed to be a day cream for all skin type but I don't love it. This is one of those items where I praise all of the beauty gods that samples exist because I would have otherwise have trusted the Clarins brand & just gone for the full purchase. Unfortunately this day cream left my face feeling greasy & caused my makeup to melt off of my face for the remainder of the day. Super bummed with this little beautifully packaged guy.

Estée Lauder DayWear BB Multi Perfecting Beauty Benefit Creme

I don't really often wear foundation so finding a good BB creme is nice as it provides a bit of sheer coverage when needed. This teensy tiny bottle is pretty good, it does basically exactly what you'd want from a BB creme aka provides minimal coverage while smoothing over slight imperfections. Not 100% sure if I'd purchase this product but this is definite maybe!

Estée Lauder Lisa Perry Palette

The sample size of the Lisa Perry collab with Estee Lauder is basically exactly as it looks, you pretty much see what you get with this little one! The packaging is amazing sticking to true retro-loving Lisa Perry fashion & of course the colours are the perfect mixture to take you from day to night looks. The only thing that slightly disappointed me with this product is that I really love my shimmery shadows & the shimmer was a bit lackluster with these shades. This is a good little product to keep around for travelling but for now I think I'll be sticking with my Naked palette sidecar & half-baked.

Hope you're having a great weekend everyone!
